lyrics
oh no, we’ve gone too far it seems
I let the truck take over me
singsong arithmetic, we make
all of the flowers one big mistake
doesn’t it make you? doesn’t it make you?
doesn’t it make you wish you were smarter than before
doesn’t it make you? doesn’t it make you
wish you knew just what we were doing it for
the water’s cold, we’ll jump right on in
even when I’m mad, I am still your friend
gen, I still love her but I can’t do it again
soon I fear my body will end
doesn’t it make you? doesn’t it make you?
doesn’t it make you wish you were smarter than before
doesn’t it make you? doesn’t it make you
wish you knew just what we were doing it for
castine, lets the night sweep us on by
now we’re east of the light
and west of a promise
and everyone’s gone
to rest until morning
I promise you light
and I promise
a morning after
I knew nothing about Squirrel Flower going into this. I loved the album front to back as it reminds me of so much music that I enjoy. Her beautiful voice is an awesome contrast to the fuzz of the guitars. It was tough to choose a favorite song. BobandoCommando
Lindsey’s voice rambles along like the rivers she sings about while Jeff adds the perfect counter point, bowing the saw and glockenspiel. I feel this music in my body, it connects me to a slower time and place. aphilley74

Gorgeous and moving, this album fills a musical void in my collection that I didn't know existed. With lyrics that speak about the human condition and instrumentals that have a medieval flair, this has become my new musical addiction 😁 Not a single note is wasted here 9RnK7
